Drew Bawcombe, MD

Dr. Bawcombe is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon who diagnoses and treats the full range of retinal conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal detachment. He has a particular interest in retinal laser treatment and the imaging technology used to diagnose retinal disease.

He earned his medical degree from the University at Buffalo in 2005 and completed his ophthalmology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009, serving as chief resident in his final year. He went on to complete a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Florida, where he participated in hundreds of surgeries to master advanced surgical techniques.
